Arabians end first half 3-1

With this week off, the Arabians will start the 2nd half of district on Tuesday April 13th in Pleasanton (0-3). The Arabians sit at 12-3-1 for the season and 3-1 in district with their only loss to Hondo on March 30th. They will take Hondo on again on April 20th.
It was a tight game against Hondo on Tuesday with Devine taking the early lead in the first with Jeanette Rios on 3rd, Arieana Ramirez ground out to short but J. Rios scored, 1-0. Top of the 3rd, J. Rios walks, 1 out, Ramirez again hits a single to deep center and J. Rios scored, 2-0. Hondo added 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to tie the game up, 2-2. Top of the 4th, Megan Runyan walked, 2 outs, J. Rios singled and Runyan crossed home, 3-2. Bottom of the 6th, Hondo had bases loaded and they hit a grounder that allowed 2 runs, 3-4. Top of the inning, Mackenzie McClellan doubled to right, 2 outs, Runyan hit a triple to deep center and Brooklyn Miller (in for McClellan) scores, 4-4. Hondo won the game in the bottom of the 9th 4-5.
Miller 1 run. J. Rios 2 singles, 1 RBI, 2 runs, 1 steal. Ramirez 1 single, 2 RBI. Hilary Barnett 1 double. Runyan 1 triple, 1 RBI, 1 run. McClellan 2 singles, 1 double and 29 pitches with 14 strikes. Barnett was on the mound for 7 innings and threw 106 pitches with 65 strikes.
In their game Thursday night against Brook Academy, the Arabians finished with a huge 18-0 win. Scoring 10 runs in the first inning, 8 in the second, the game was called after the 3rd inning and the Arabians started their much deserved Easter break on a high note.

Ramirez 2 singles, 1 RBI, 2 runs. Barnett, 1 single, 1 triple, 3 RBI, 2 runs. Isellia Gutierrez 2 singles, 1 RBI, 2 runs. Runyan 1 double, 1 triple, 5 RBIs, 2 runs. McClellan 1 single, 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs. McClellan threw 2 innings with 15 strikes in 20 pitches. Barnet threw 1 inning with 6 strikes in 7 pitches.
