Natalia Lady Mustangs beats Poteet 13 – 1 in Bi-District

The Natalia Lady Mustangs beat the Poteet Lady Aggies to capture the Bi-District title in softball.

Araceley Segovia drove in four runs on three hits to lead Natalia Lady Mustangs past Poteet Aggies 13-1 on Thursday. Segovia doubled in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the fourth inning, scoring one.


The Lady Mustangs won thanks in part to eight runs in the sixth inning. Ary Ramirez singled, scoring one run, Abigail Figueroa singled, scoring two runs, Bella Gallegos singled, scoring one run, Leyla Saenz doubled, scoring two runs, and Ralynn Juarez doubled, scoring two runs. Natalia captured the lead 2-1, in the top of the fourth after Segovia doubled, and Isabel Laque singled, each scoring one run. Gallegos earned the win for the Lady Mustangs. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over six innings, striking out four and walking three.
The Lady Mustangs amassed 13 hits in the game. Figueroa, Gallegos, Saenz, and Ary each collected multiple hits for Natalia. Ary stole two bases, and the team turned one double play in the game.
