Warhorse golf tees off 2021 in Pleasanton

Devine Warhorse golf swung its way into the 2021 season at Pleasanton Golf Course last Wednesday morning. Returner Brian Schaefer led Devine with a 92 while little brother Victor was next on the Warhorses with a 96. No other Devine player cracked 100.
“We had a tough day,” stated golf coach Mark Mangold. “The Pleasanton golf course has a lot of ‘trouble opportunities’ and we found a lot of them. Although individually we hit a bunch of great shots, unfortunately they were either in front of or behind a mistake.”
Mason Martinez and Jonathan Gelinas each posted a 116 and Cutter Howard shot a 119 to round out the scoring for Devine.
Coach Mangold is looking forward to working out some of the kinks saying, “I expect our score to drop drastically by the next tournament.”
