Natalia Cross Country begins practice July 31

The Natalia High School Cross Country team held its first practice starting at 10:15 am. All runners who wish to join the team must have a physical competed before they are allowed to practice. Led by Coach Kimberly Lane, the Mustangs will compete at District on October 16th.
“My expectations for the team this season is to develop unity and accountability, bond and work hard together, and most importantly be compassionate and respectful toward their teammates and the running community. I expect my athletes to set challenging goals for themselves and their team. Upon setting their goals, pursue them without lowering the standards and goals they set. As far as the program, I would like to create consistent expectations. I am working towards growth in the program, and establishing continued success. My goal is to bring fellowship and enthusiasm to the program, as well as, push the athletes to reach their full potential. I am fully confident, with what I have seen in summer workouts, our athletes will exceed all expectations,” stated Coach Lane.
The Mustangs will run in their first meet on August 24th in Pearsall. The Junior High will not start practice until school starts and their first meet will be September 7th at Feast.
