Lytle Police Report Aug. 3-9

August 3
12:57 AM – While on patrol, officer made a field contact with a female pushing a bicycle on N Somerset St. and Laredo St. Officer provided a courtesy ride back to her residence on Wisdom Rd.
1:35 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Cottage St. for a report of loud bass/music. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:30 AM – While on patrol, officer observed several large potholes near CR 6843 and CR 6842. Officer notified the City Hall for repairs.
August 4
3:56 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to 14200 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. to make contact with a resident after Public Works found trash dumped on Railroad St.
1:01 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a pedestrian claiming she was struck by a vehicle. Officer arrived and spoke with the complainant who stated a Dodge Ram had struck her lower back and left. The complainant did not claim any injuries nor did she want to press charges.
4:42 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a crash that occurred on 7/30/20 at the HEB Plus parking lot.
8:20 PM – Officer received a phone call from San Antonio PD in regards to a missing person. Missing person’s information was forwarded to Atascosa Co. Sheriff’s Office.
August 5
3:00 AM – While on patrol at 15300 Blk. of Main St. officer noticed a female inside a parked vehicle at the repair shop. The female provided a fictitious first name resulting in her being detained until her true identity could be determined. The female was identified and then released pending further investigation into the owner of the vehicle she was rummaging through.
8:52 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. to unlock a vehicle.
9:00 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
9:09 AM – Officer responded to the US Post Office for a report of a two vehicle crash.
7:38 PM – Officer responded to Pachangon Auto Sales for a report of damage to a vehicle. An unknown suspect attempted to cut off a catalytic converter from a 2006 Chrysler Pacific. They weren’t able to complete the theft. Total estimated damage is $600.
8:28 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park to unlock a vehicle.
10:10 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
August 6
3:41 AM – Officer noticed a man walking on the shoulder in the dark. Officer spoke with the male and identified him. Officer provided the male a courtesy ride to the Love’s Truck Stop on IH 35.
4:06 AM – Officer responded to Big Text Trailers for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:10 AM – Officer responded to 14400 Blk. of FM 2790 W for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Officer searched the area, unable to locate anyone.
12:06 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a woman asking for money. Officer arrived and was unable to locate.
2:30 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to her vehicle having a dent on the rear passenger tailgate area. The complainant believes she was hit while at Dollar General.
3:29 PM – Officer responded to 700 Blk. of Indian Sunset to assist Atascosa Co. with a suspicious vehicle.
6:30 PM – Officers provided escort for the Lytle VFW from the Lytle Community Center to the Veterans’ Park.
7:30 PM – Officers responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of verbal disturbance between a mother and her 15 YO son.
7:33 PM – Officers responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a disturbance. Officers provided the unwanted visitor a courtesy ride home. The disturbance was verbal only.
August 7
3:26 AM – While on patrol at Lytle Dental officer located an open door. Officer found no signs of criminal activity and was able to lock the door.
4:20 AM – Officer stopped at the 14700 Blk. of Main St. and spoke with a stranded motorist driving with the hazards on. The female had a shredded left-rear tire and was headed to HEB area to wait for AAA. Officer checked on her frequently.
4:25 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
12:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported an unknown person(s) used her credit card to make online purchases. Total estimated loss $155.
12:10 PM – Officers responded to 20300 Blk. of FM 3175 for a report of shots fired in the area. Officers found two males who stated they had permission to shoot in the creek and were leasing the property for hunting. The area was closed to being out of the city limits, both males agreed to stop shooting.
9:31 PM – Officer observed suspicious activity at the Pachangon Motors inside the parking lot. It turned out to be the owner moving vehicles within the lot.
11:38 PM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of N Benton St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
August 8
2:50 AM – Officer checked the area of the 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a 911 hang up call coming from a cell phone.
8:08 AM – Officer responded to Trophy Buck for an active alarm. The alarm was set off by a repair person.
11:48 AM – Officer responded to the Oak St. at S. Somerset St. for verbal disturbance over the parking of vehicles.
11:58 AM – Officer responded to the 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for report of a disturbance between neighbors, alleged threats were made.
7:35 PM – Officer responded to Lynda’s Trade Mart for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. The complainant left her purse inside the vehicle with the windows down. Her purse was later found, all the contents except $100 cash was recovered.
8:45 PM – Officers responded to 18000 Blk. of Ball Rd. for a report of a civil matter – landlord/tenant dispute.
August 9
12:45 AM – Officer made contact with a subject at Dollar General that was standing by a vehicle in the parking lot that had its hood open. The vehicle broke down and assistance was in route.
7:03 AM – Officer responded to an alarm at the Pirate Express Drive-Thru in the 15300 Blk. of Main St.
8:13 AM – The purse taken from a vehicle on the prior day was recovered in a trash can, only the $100 cash was missing.
12:45 PM – Officer spoke with a complainant in regards to her being harassed.
1:11 PM – Officer took a report that a female departed the HEB C-store with a beer valued at $2.00, she failed to pay for it.
2:15 PM – Officers responded back to the H.E.B. C-store for a report that the female from earlier had returned. She left prior to the arrival of the officers.
3:19 PM – After their investigation and review of video, HEB determined that a male and female couple took an AC window unit valued at $219 on Friday evening, August 7, 2020. The case is under investigation.

5:00 PM – A caller reported a bumper in the lane of traffic on IH-35 (SB). Officer located and removed the hazard. It was just north of the city limits.
7:58 PM – Officer responded to Twin Liquors for a 911 hang-up call, business was closed and there was no sign of any trouble in the area.
9:29 PM – Officer dispatched to John Lott Park for a report of a vehicle doing “donuts” in the parking lot. It was reported that several people were filming it with their phones.
