Devine Police Report July 31-Aug. 6

July 31
9:49 AM – Traffic light on E. Colonial Pkwy. stayed red through multiple cycles. TxDot notified.
1:00 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Bowman Ave. reported an unknown person dumped household trash by the road. The trash was picked up by Public Works.
5:32 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of W. Moore Ave. reported a verbal disturbance between himself and his ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend departed before officer’s arrival.
6:36 PM – Complainant reported she was in the 1100 block of Libold Dr. to pick up an AC unit she left before. The property’s male tenant was refusing to let her take it. Eventually the tenant allowed the complainant’s friend to take it.
7:33 PM – A male subject was arguing with employees in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. Officer provided the subject a ride to Country Corner Inn. A vehicle was allowed to be left on location.
11:34 PM – Complainant reported a gold Suburban doing donuts in the grass near Warhorse Stadium. Officers patrolled the area; unable to locate.
August 1
3:53 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 NB near mile marker 120 in reference to an 18-wheeler with multiple flat tires that was still running. The 18-wheeler was located outside of City limits by deputies.
4:34 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 NB near mile marker 120 in reference to a Charger traveling at a high rate of speed. Unable to locate.
7:59 PM – Complainant reported residents in the 400 block of Bluebonnet shooting on property. The address belongs to the County and the residents were within their rights to shoot. All was okay.
8:57 PM – Complainant reported a male subject roaming in the area of the 100 block of N. Bright Dr. Unable to locate.
9:26 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of N. Bright Dr. in reference to a male subject sleeping on private property. Subject departed the area.
9:45 PM – Complainant stated a neighbor in the 500 block of Mockingbird Ln. heard a loud band playing. Officer patrolled the area; unable to locate.
11:03 PM – Officers dispatched to the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a male subject banging on the door to a room. Individuals departed the area; all was okay.
August 2
12:49 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Encino reported a gold vehicle blacked out in the area; unable to locate.
2:32 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. reported a female subject on scene using profanity towards employees and customers. Subject left prior to officer’s arrival; unable to locate.
August 3
2:14 PM – Complainant reported an unknown person used her debit card at Walmart for $26.93.
5:27 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 NB near the City limits in reference to an 18-wheeler tailgating a Jeep. Officers patrolled the area; unable to locate.
August 4
8:49 AM – Complainant reported the turn arrow staying red at an SB Hwy. 132 intersection. TxDot was notified and advised they were already aware of the issue.
1:34 PM – Complainant reported the left turn light not turning green at an SB Hwy. 132 intersection. TxDot had previously been notified.
9:35 PM – Officers dispatched to the 600 block of Zig Zag Ave. in reference to a red Jeep parked. Area searched; unable to locate.
August 6
8:16 AM – Complainant in the 200 block of S. Jamison Dr. advised of a loud bang from the vacant house next door. Doors and windows were secure; all was okay.
2:11 PM – Residents of home in the 300 block of Briscoe Ave. had items missing from their rooms.
8:05 PM – Complainant reported a green Chevy pickup swerving and throwing objects out of the vehicle on IH-35 SB near the City limits; unable to locate.
