Community Help Needed: Heater & Blanket Drive

The Emergency Management Board, in connection with the Devine Police Department, is asking citizens, businesses and community members of Devine to help out those less fortunate, and our elderly, by joining our Winter Heat Drive. We are collecting new/unused blankets and space heaters (no more than 1500 watts) that will be distributed to those that have come on hard times and are in need of a little help from a friend or neighbor.
If you would like to help out with our Winter Heat Drive, please drop off the blankets or space heater (prefer it to be in the original box, but any new, unused heater will be appreciated) at either the Devine Police Department (Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm) or the Driscoll Public Library (Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
If you know of a resident that needs a heater or blanket to help keep warm, please contact us at the Devine Police Department, 830-663-4403 and we will get their name and address and will be happy to give or deliver one as they become available.
