BBQ fundraiser raises $7,000 to Mission Devine

The Devine Wesleyan Fellowship would like to thank the citizens of Devine and surrounding communities for their participation and gracious giving at our BAR-B-QUE fundraiser supporting Mission Devine.

Thanks to you we were thrilled to be able to present this check for $7000.00 to Todd Summers, President of Mission Devine.
The money was raised from the sale of plates and baked goods as well as community member donations and checks. Some donations even were from previous Mission Devine recipients.
We also want to thank the numerous business and individuals who graciously donated not only their time but food and baked goods for the event: Rick & Teri Maxwell for the brisket, Black Creek Bar and Grill for the potato salad, Richard Collins for cooking the beans, Colby Cashion and Devin Rotramel for providing the drinks, Judy Eddy for organizing the bake sale, Selah Schultz (Mato Girl) for her donation of several dozen of her fantastic chocolate chip cookies and Charlie’s Daughter on the Green for donating several dozen delicious divots.
The Devine Wesleyan Fellowship would also like to invite you to join us Sunday mornings at 10:00AM at 205 E. College for worship and fellowship.
Thanks again for supporting the great organization that is Mission Devine.
Mission Devine hosts a weeklong event helping people in need, especially the elderly with projects around their house. Volunteers of all ages work from one hour to a whole week. See missiondevine.org for further information if you would like to help. Or contact any Devine Wesleyan Fellowship member for ways you can help with the next fundraiser.
