Sevier scores 1,000th point

Friday night, playing the rough Dilley team, Sophomore Calyssa Sevier hit an important milestone. She has now scored 1000 points for the Lady Pirates! Sever is not only a great shot but also a team player. In this game alone she scored 24 points with 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 6 deflections, and 12 steals.
Sevier scored 545 in her freshman year and at this pace she has a good chance to hit 2000 points before she graduates. She is not the only Pirate to score big under Coach Lori Wilson, in her senior year (12-13), Natalie Cortez also reached this goal.
“The highlight of the night was in the 3rd quarter after hitting a 3 pointer Sevier scored her 1,000th point as a Sophomore at Lytle High School!!! We are so proud of her and cannot wait to see how many more she will score before she exits high school. Special shout out to Katara Whitfield and Lorri Migura on getting the banner designed just the way we wanted it. This memory will definitely be one we will all share forever!” said the ecstatic Coach Wilson.
With two more years ahead of her, Lytle waits to see how many points she can score before she graduates.
