Hwy 173 between Devine and Jourdanton recently received a nice “seal coat”, and TxDot contractors are preparing to do a seal coat on Hwy 173 between Devine and Hondo in the next couple months. It is still a temporary fix, but a huge improvement over the patches that protrude from the road now.
The complete rehab that the busy highway needs is still years out, but the seal coat is expected to last a couple years potentially.
