Teams Wanted
Teams, we needed you and want you! Let’s round up our friends and get those teams going again. Last year 25 teams bonded together to make the Relay a success. We hope to have those 25 returns and add many more. The sky is the limit. We have plenty of room on the track. Register your team leader today and start recruiting team members. Register online at relayforlife.org/medinatx. There is a Medina County in another state, so please be sure to add the tx at the end.
“We encourage businesses to form a team, schools to get the youth engaged and have the different organizations form a team, family and friends of our community form a team in honor of a loved one who has or is battling Cancer. What a great way to honor our loved ones,” said Hargrove.
Photos for Slideshow Wanted
Send us a photo of your survivor or loved one that has survived cancer, is battling it, or is no longer with us. We will feature them during our Luminary Ceremony on the slideshow. Send us the photo, name of the person, whether it’s in honor of or in memory of those gone, and dates if you have them. Definitely make sure to note where it is in memory or in honor of in subject line as well.
Send one photo to: sanchez.leslie23@yahoo.com. Bianca Sanchez and her sister Leslie have agreed to build the slideshow and serve as Activity Chairs as well again this year.
“Our Slideshow honors our loved ones who have survived this disease and those that are no longer with us. The dedication is such a special and heartfelt part of the evening,” said Hargrove.
Luminaries light the way
Each year luminaries are available for a $5 donation and placed around the track in honor or in memory of a loved one and include a light stick inside it to light up your loved one all night.
