Natalia XC runs at Dilley

The Mustangs traveled to Dilley and competed well,” according to Head Coach Kim Lane. “Noah Gilkey took the gold and 8 out of the 10 Mustangs came home with a top 20 medal! They are starting to learn how to finish in a pack and are improving weekly!”
A new member of the Cross Country family is Gavin Martinez. “Gavin is running XC for the first time and put up a great time and placed 11th!” Lane continued. Fabian Ruiz, Logan Chapa, and Jared Stallworth also competed well for and stayed in a pack for quite some time.
The Lady Mustangs are improving weekly. According to Coach Lane commented, “We competed well in Dilley. Meg Martinez placed 8th and Addison Crowther placed 11th. Great job, girls!”

MS report
The Natalia Middle School runners competed in their first meet of the season as they traveled to Dilley as well. Lane was encouraged by what she saw. “They didn’t know what to expect and were very nervous, but competed well and came home with a few medals.”
Not all times and places were recorded but these are who competed. For the 8th grade, Sofia Tolbert, Anaya Jones (25th 19:43), Nick Mata (26th 16:26), Abigail Fulton (14th 17:36), Vyviana Rodriguez, Alexys Rodriguez, Kaecey Velasquez, Mandie Martinez, Peyton Alderette (15th 16:49), Elena Ottinger, Lana Curtis, and Jasmine Sanchez (24th 20:15).
