JV Arabians win by 64

Now 13-8 for the season, the JV Arabians added two more wins last week. Beating McMullen County on Tuesday and Fox Tech on Friday, the Arabians are ready to rematch Somerset this Friday. Playing in Somerset, the Arabians look to repeat their massive victory. The last time the teams played, Devine won 59-16.
Hosting McMullen County on Tuesday, the JV Arabians took the game 36-23. Leading 13-4 after the first, Devine relied on their defense to keep the Cowgirls from taking easy shots. Mckayla Rivera and Kelsey Dishman led the team with 8 points each and Avery Mobley was right behind with 7 points. Airyana Rodriguez earned 6 points while Oakley Malone had 5 and Natalie Valle earned 2 points. Q1 13-4, Q2 19-12, Q3 26-17, Q4 36-23.
Friday night against Fox Tech, the JV Arabians took control early and held on for the 73-9 win. Every Arabian earned points for the team with Maddie DuBose and Rodriguez on top with 14 points each. Malone scored 2 points, Rivera 12, Valle 10, Tatiana Gilbert 6, Mobley 4, and Dishman scored 11 points. Q1 22-0, Q2 44-2, Q3 64-4, Q4 73-9.
The JV Arabians are scheduled to finish their season with a home game against YWLA on February 8th. The games will start at 5:30pm.
