Feb. 12 is filing deadline for Devine and Lytle ISD school board elections

Devine ISD will host a school board election to be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 for the purpose of electing two trustees (one for District 1 and one for District 5).
Positions are currently held by Keri James (District 5) and Phillip Fitch (District 1). Applications for a place on the ballot shall be filed by 5:00 p.m. on February 12, 2021.
You don’t have to live in the single member district to run. You just have to live within Devine ISD. However, you do have to live within that single member district in order to vote for that candidate.
Devine ISD will hold election jointly with the City of Devine and all costs will be shared. If the City of Devine cancels their election, the district will contract with Medina County to hold the election.
Only registered voters residing in District 1 can vote for the trustee in District 1. Only registered voters residing in District 5 can vote for the trustee in District 5.
See devineisd.org for further details.

Lytle ISD is also holding a board election on May 1, with the seats currently held by Vice President Nan Boyd and Trustee Anthony Reyna up for grabs.
