Devine Police Report Dec. 20-Jan. 2

Dec. 20
4:28 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of S. Teel Dr. reported two Hispanic males on location. Complainant requested both Hispanic males be removed from place of business.
Dec. 21
3:03 AM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to a gray Dodge unable to maintain lanes; unable to locate.
8:50 AM – Officers assisted DPS trooper while he conducted a search on a vehicle on IH-35 NB. All was okay.
4:20 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. stated he heard someone inside his residence. Officers cleared location, no one inside. All was okay.
9:48 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of N. Transportation Dr. stated they could hear screaming coming from an apartment. Officers made entry and detained a male subject, who was taken to Medina Regional Hospital and then University Hospital before being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest. Assisted by DPS.
10:16 PM – Report of a person walking in the roadway in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. All was okay; subject back at residence. DPS responded to call.
Dec. 22
6:55 AM – A vehicle parked in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. had substantial damage.
7:00 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. The female driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
11:50 AM – Complainant found male with county addresses at Walmart. The Medina County Sheriff’s Office was advised; deputy will pick up.
2:18 PM – Complainant reported a red sports car speeding down King Ave.; unable to locate.
3:51 PM – Officers assisted Natalia PD with a major accident on IH-35 SB.
Dec. 23
5:57 AM – Report of a large amount of smoke in the area of the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. Upon arrival, appeared to be coming from a vent on the roof. Fire department made location to ensure it wasn’t a fire starting. All was okay.
12:30 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Lorraine Dr. advised a maroon Mustang was driving at a high rate of speed down Lorraine Dr.; unable to locate.
Dec. 24
9:11 PM – A white Toyota Tundra was driving recklessly on IH-35 SB and was seen running other vehicles off the roadway. Officer located the vehicle driving erratically, and the vehicle accelerated on E. Hondo Ave. before being stopped on CR 7718. The male driver was jailed for evading with vehicle. Assisted by DPS.
11:32 PM – Report of fireworks in the area of Williamsburg.
Dec. 25
3:29 AM – Complainant reported a black truck parked in front of her residence. All was okay.
3:42 AM – Two male juveniles on bicycles in the 400 block of Crouch Ave. Both subjects were supposed to be at one’s residence on N. Teel Dr. Both were released to one’s mother.
6:05 AM – Report of fireworks in the area of Williamsburg; unable to locate.
5:54 PM – Complainant stated they heard a gunshot. Officers patrolled the whole stretch of Breeze Dr., no signs of gunfire.
8:48 PM – Warrant service initiated in the 400 block of Bluebonnet. A female subject was jailed for theft $100-750 enhanced.
Dec. 26
6:25 PM – A male subject in the 100 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
Dec. 27
12:00 AM – Theft under $100 in the 100 block of IH-35 S.
2:45 PM – Found wheelchair at Savannah’s Car Wash. Owner came to pick up wheelchair at 2:50 PM.
Dec. 29
12:10 AM – A female driver on IH-35 SB was cited and released for driving without a license.
2:32 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of W. Moore Ave. stated three people were seen in his backyard and that they were going to break into his shed. Officers checked the area, unable to locate. All was okay.
2:48 PM – Warrant service initiated in the 200 block of Hayden Ave. A female subject was jailed for theft $100-750, enhanced.
Dec. 30
12:50 AM – Report of a male subject in the middle of the roadway in the 300 block of S. Teel Dr., possibly under the influence; unable to locate. Second caller in the 100 block of Galbreath advised the male subject had been involved in a disturbance and was back at his residence in the 300 block of Lee. No charges filed; officers spoke with subject’s mother via public service and she advised he was okay.
1:38 AM – Two individuals at Curcio Park after hours; all was okay.
2:05 AM – Complainant reported a loud noise in the 100 block of Tehama; all was okay.
3:57 AM – Black Cadillac CTS in the area of IH-35 SB. Occupants called for roadside assistance and company unable to locate vehicle and occupant not answering public service. Vehicle no longer in the area; unable to locate.
8:17 AM – Officer dispatched to Libold Dr. in reference to a black Explorer blocking the roadway; unable to locate.
11:37 AM – Possible burn ban violation in the 500 block of FM 2200. Officer made location to verify; all was okay.
7:25 PM – A male driver was cited and released for driving without a license.
Dec. 31
8:02 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of Hickory Hwy. reported her 16-year-old daughter left home around 7:00 AM and was entered into TCIC/NCIC as a runaway. The juvenile was located in Hondo by Hondo PD and returned to her father.
1:25 PM – Medina County deputy requested second unit for standby on Bright Ave.; all was okay.
10:23 PM – Officer dispatched to the 500 block of Jack Nicklaus in reference to a fireworks complaint. Individuals were found popping fireworks and were advised to stop. Officer issued a verbal warning; all was okay.
11:02 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Sollock Dr. in reference to fireworks in the area. Unable to locate.
Jan. 1
2:39 AM – Warrant service initiated in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. A male subject was jailed for criminal trespass.
4:30 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of Davis Ave. reported a small sedan driving up and down the street. Complainant advised vehicle stopped by a tan truck and possibly in truck. Subject located in the 400 block of Davis Ave.; all was okay.
9:30 AM – A male subject’s vehicle broke down on IH-35 SB. The subject was picked up by his family and the vehicle was tagged.
12:15 PM – Theft of one single can of beer in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. Charges pending.
1:35 PM – Complainant reported a brown Mercedes speeding on Hwy. 173 S. Unable to locate.
2:00 PM – Officers dispatched in reference to a large fire thought to be in City limits. Officers made location on the fire, which was out in the county. Dispatch was advised the homeowner was on location and was maintaining the fire; all was okay.
Jan. 2
12:20 PM – Complainant on Windy Knoll Dr. advised two vehicles were racing and heading outside the City limits. Complainant did not have any further information; unable to locate.
