On January 7, Devine PD got a report of a Ford F250 stolen from the Walmart parking lot in Devine around 3:30 am.
“Suspects then the truck drove to Pearsall where they got away with approximately $50,000,” said Devine PD Lieutenant Chris Andrews, after receiving notice that Pearsall PD had recovered the stolen truck.
They reportedly threw something such as a chain or strap around an ATM machine in Frio County and hooked it up to the bumper of the stolen truck.
“They later abandoned the vehicle which was turned back over to us by Pearsall PD,” Andrews said.
