Natalia XC goes scavenger hunting

The Mustang XC team before taking off on a scavenger hunt.

Head Natalia Cross Country coach Kim Lane found an even balance between work and fun for her runners this past week. A “tricky” method to get runners to run number one and to have fun number two is to send them on a scavenger hunt.
Runners have to book it from one location to another in order to find certain items or perform a certain trick in order to run to another location. Oftentimes, runners are so consumed with the competition aspect of the hunt, they forget how much and how hard they have actually ran.
Coach Lane commented that her season is “off to a great start with the group showing great teamwork.” Lane’s scavenger hunt aided in the building of team chemistry.
“New PRs and big goals,” are happening according to Lane. These PRs and big goals are happening now and will undoubtedly continue into the Mustang’s 2020 season.
