Heart of a Mustang Toy Drive planning meeting Nov. 18

If you are from the Natalia Community and would like to bring a tear and a smile to a child’s life, come join the 1st ever “Heart of a Mustang Toy Drive.”
Natalia Community member/Board President Eric Smith realized the need to give back due to the fact there are so many in the Natalia community who are not as fortunate as others.
“I have a mother right now who is battling a chronic lung disease and stage three cancer,” Smith said. “Reflecting back on my life, I realized how fortunate I was to have parents that made sure we had an awesome Christmas each year and just a great life. What I also realized is unfortunately, not every child in our community has a ton of presents under the tree each year,” Smith said.
Smith’s mother is a huge advocate of anything and everything Natalia and that is where he came up with the name “Heart of a Mustang” because of how big his mother’s heart is for the community.

“I wanted to organize this with her on my mind, because I know how much she cares for this community and thru her, I wanted to take a step out in faith to give back even more of my time, energy and effort for those in our community,” Smith said.
Smith announced this Toy Drive on Twitter and also on the Next Door App and had great response, especially from folks in Great Oaks and the Forest Woods Subdivision.
The first planning meeting will be held today, Wednesday, November 18 at La Pasadita in Natalia at 6:00 p.m. Come join Smith to make a difference in the lives of children in Natalia who may not have the same Christmas, as others around. Come with an appetite (food is on him) and with plenty of energy, positivity and ideas to make this a success!
