UPDATED Sept.14, 2:56 pm—Several Devine ISD athletic events have been canceled this weekend due to the weather, including:
09/14 – DHS Volleyball games in Fredericksburg.
09/15 – DHS Volleyball tournament at Navarro.
09/15 – DHS Tennis matches at Medina Valley.
09/15 – DMS and DHS Cross Country.
As of 2:56 pm, the district said “at this time the Varsity football game is still on for tonight at 6:30.”
Please remember that the area is saturated from rains last weekend, and flash flooding is likely to occur very rapidly if this area receives significant rainfall again this weekend.
Several high water rescues occurred in Medina County and in nearby Moore this past weekend, putting drivers and emergency responders in danger. Rescues occurred in the areas of Devine, Rio Medina, LaCoste, Lytle, and Moore.
