Gladys Christine Bukowski Sanders, passed away on June 2, 2017 at the age of 83 years.
Gladys was born Sept. 22, 1933 in San Antonio, TX to John and Mary Bukowski. She was a graduate of St. Gerard’s Catholic School. Gladys worked at SW Bell for 13 years and civil service at Kelly AFB for 33 years.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin M. Sanders; daughter, Diana Norman; granddaughter, Angelique Riou; grandson, Trevor Elliott; siblings, John Bukowski and Patricia Bufford.
Survivors include her children, Donna Ekmark, Debra Savu and Danny (Annette) Sanders; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Theodore Bukowski, Marie (Don) Maddox, Alfred (Mary) Bukowski; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Resurrection was Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment followed the Mass at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Gladys’ memory to the charity of your choice.
