Eduardo O. Esquivel (Popo)of Natalia, was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday June 7, 2017 at the age of 87.
He was born December 5, 1929 in Pearson, Texas to Rafael and Magdalena (Ortiz) Esquivel.
Eduardo is survived by his wife, Dora Esquivel; sons, Edward Esquivel and wife Pilar, Vicente Esquivel, Mike Loza and wife Janie, Ruben Loza and wife Delia, David Martinez and wife Janie; daughters, Rosie Esquivel, Christine Esquivel, Delia Pacheco and husband Richard, Elvia Loza; sisters, Janie Gonzalez and husband Raymond, Paz Yracheta, Margaret Bermea; twenty-one grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Magdalena Esquivel; sisters, Esther Esquivel and Elida Ybarra; brother-in-laws, Pablo Ybarra, Juan Yracheta and Gilbert Bermea.
Visitation was held Monday, June 12, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine.
Mass was celebrated Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Natalia with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Devine.
