Devine Police Report July 7-13

July 7
4:00 AM – Officer followed AMR from IH-35 to the Devine EMS station for Airlife.
9:51 AM – Complainant found a black wallet in the Security Bank parking lot.
11:01 AM – Complainant reported a silver Ford Fusion swerving all over the roadway on Hwy. 173.
11:00 PM – Medina County Sheriff’s Office reported a possible stolen vehicle on CR 5710. Vehicle turned onto CR 662 towards Castroville.
July 8
2:55 AM – Officers investigated a vehicle in the Devine High School parking lot that had its lights on. There was an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The operator was cited and released to an adult. Child Protective Services was contacted due to two children being in the car.
9:15 AM – Officer assisted DPS with locating a driver.
2:00 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to a suspicious male yelling at customers. The subject was a resident from a boarding home outside Devine. The subject was released back to the boarding home.
2:55 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of N. Transportation Dr. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
9:30 PM – Officers dispatched to the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a stalled van in the road. The vehicle was moved.
July 9
1:25 AM – Officers assisted MCSO deputies with a large party with shots fired. One male subject evaded officer on foot but was later caught and confessed to deputies.
4:40 AM – Officer operated intoxilyzer for MCSO deputy with DWI.
4:40 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of E. Colonial Pkwy. The driver was cited and released for driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana less than two ounces. Charges pending.
July 10
1:59 AM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of W. Davis Ave. in reference to a verbal disturbance over family issues with the complainant’s daughter. The complainant does not want her daughter at her house anymore.
7:38 AM – Windows were broken on two tractors at the Devine Well Yard.
8:35 AM – Officer discovered a defaced speed limit sign in the 100 block of E. Park Ave.
11:02 AM – Complainant at Walmart reported the hit and run of a parked vehicle.
11:10 AM – Complainant at Food King reported an unknown person(s) attempted to break into a parked vehicle and damaged a door lock.
1:43 PM – Verbal disturbance between complainant in the 800 block of Flores Dr. and her father over her car. All was okay; parties separated.
3:29 PM – Complainant at Dollar Tree reported an approximately 8-year-old boy was left in a vehicle unattended. The vehicle departed prior to officers’ arrival.
July 11
3:26 AM – Complainant in the 700 block of Zig Zag Ave. heard noises inside the residence. Officers cleared the house; all was okay.
7:34 AM – A front window at the Devine Well Yard was shot at with a BB or pellet gun and a side window was shattered.
5:18 PM – Complainant reported a tire in the roadway on SB IH-35 and mile marker 121. Officer removed the tire.
7:35 PM – Complainant reported that three nail guns, one sander, and one miter saw were taken from inside a residence in the 400 block of Monticello Cir. The tools were recovered by police. Charges pending.
11:45 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Zig Zag Ave. heard noises inside the residence. Officer was assisted by MCSO deputy. All was okay.
July 12
7:45 AM – Complainant on IH-35 reported a tan Lexus driving erratically. DPS located the vehicle at Amigos Country Store.
10:59 AM – Complainant at Valley Mart #15 reported a counterfeit $100 bill was received. A suspect has been identified.
11:24 AM – A male subject was causing problems with workers at a home in the 400 block of Monticello Cir.
1:36 PM – Complainant reported that a female subject in a small maroon SUV had been taking items out of the donation box at Super Mart. The female subject was identified.
4:22 PM – Complainant reported a black Kia driving all over the roadway on Hwy. 173. The vehicle turned onto N. Teel Dr.
10:02 PM – Complainant reported people playing with a BB gun at the city park. Officers were assisted by the MCSO, DPS, and Natalia PD. All was okay.
July 13
2:38 AM – Complainant reported a dark-colored truck driving southbound on the northbound side of IH-35. Officers stopped the vehicle at mile marker 123. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
10:38 AM – Complainant at Devine Food Mart reported an elderly Hispanic male possibly making threats to a couple on location.
7:25 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of Sollock Dr. reported a verbal disturbance between male family members.
