DISD Committee accepting donations for Teacher Appreciation, Educator of the Year

Devine ISD has given approval for the DISD Teacher Appreciation Committee to accept donations for Teacher Appreciation Week as well as the new DISD Educator of the Year awards. Donors will be acknowledged.
Teacher Appreciation Week begins May 5th. Some appreciation gifts can easily be made available to staff by placing them in teachers’ lounges while others might lend themselves to being placed in teachers’ boxes or accumulated by the district into a “swag bag” (items, gift certificates, coupons, etc). Still other items or gift cards could be used for drawings, etc.

DISD employs about 140 teachers, 60 teacher’s aides, and about 300 staff members in total. Please know that the district will put any and every donation to good use in showing our teachers that they are appreciated. Donations can also be designated for a particular campus or group. All donations will be received at the central office and disseminated by DISD staff.
The Educator of the Year Award will recognize one teacher from each of our four major campuses who provides high-quality, rigorous, engaging instruction each day and goes above and beyond to support students. Items to consider include: flowers, gift cards, funds to purchase plaques, etc.
If you are interested in donating, would like to obtain more information, or have any questions at all, please reach out to Abigail Beadle by email abigail.beadle@devineisd.org, or phone (830) 851-0795.
This DISD committee mentioned above is accepting donations and appreciates any and all help.
