Here we are at the end of the school year, what an exciting and stressful time. Parents and students, especially those of seniors, need a minute to slow down and talk about real things that matter and make safety a priority.
The District Attorney’s Office is hosting a Summer Safe Seminar to talk to parents and students, particularly high school students but it is open to all adults. Each year, someone experiences tragedy as the school year comes to an end, whether it is from drunk driving, an overdose, or a sexual assault. Learn some tips to stay safe from the people who deal with the aftermath of these issues. These are serious topics and it’s an opportunity to get some real information. Bring your seniors, young adults or whoever you think could benefit from this event. Keep in mind; the topics presented are geared towards high school students and adults. Share this information with those you may feel would like to attend. There is an ad on summer safety in this news issue as well. The seminar is free and pizza and drinks will be provided. Summer Safe Seminar: Wednesday, May 22nd from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm at the South Texas Regional Training Center, 402 Carter, Hondo, Texas.
