Ronald “Ronnie” Terry Tschirhart passed away at his home with his family by his side, on September 28, 2017, just three days after celebrating his 70th birthday. Ronnie was born September 25, 1947 in San Antonio, the son of Sylvan and Mattie Geant Tschirhart. Shortly after graduating from Medina Valley High School in 1965, Ronnie went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was a cable splicer, retiring after 35 years with the company.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Sylvan S. Tschirhart and grandparents, Joe and Martha Geant, Frank and Annie Tschirhart.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie Tschirhart of Castroville; brother, Randall Raymond Tschirhart of Castroville; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Carl Keller of La Coste; nephews and their spouses, Jesse Keller, Joseph Keller, Joshua and Courtney Keller and Jedediah and Shannon Keller; great-nieces and -nephews, Koop Keller, Charlie Grace Keller, Justus Keller, Judson Keller, Madi Rose Keller and “one on the way”; as well as numerous other relatives.
Visitation was Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary was recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection was Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Ronnie’s memory to St. Louis Catholic Church, school, cemetery or the Braden Keller Center.
