Monday, February 19th, the Junior Varsity Warhorses faced the Hondo Owls in their first pre-district game and used the innings to “prepare the boys to compete well on field” said Coach Bart Oropeza. The final score was Devine 0 and Hondo 8.
Pitching against Hondo was Blaine Miller and Darren Lafferty and getting base hits were Blaine Miller and Brady Harrell.
Coming up for the Junior Varsity Warhorses is Harlandale on March 2nd, Central Catholic on March 5th, and the Lytle JV tournament March 9-10th before they head into district play.
