JV Arabians continue winning ways

Devine’s JV Arabians improved to 7 wins and no losses as they won in Crystal City last Tuesday night by the final score of 37 to 15. A quick start in the first half had the Arabians leading 13 to 2 after the first quarter and 22 to 5 at halftime. Even though Crystal City closed the gap to 26 to 11 going into the fourth quarter, it was too late for the Javelinas to make a serious run.
“This game ended up being very scrappy and physical,” Coach Leigh Anne McIver said. “I am proud of the girls for keeping their composure. Even though we did not have our best game, we did some great things at both ends of the floor.”
Points: Dana Aaron-17, Abigail Whitaker-8, Clarissa Zamara-6, Karli Geyer-2, Sierra Pompa-2, Scarlett Smith-2.
The team is currently 14 and 5 overall and a perfect 7 and 0 in district competition.
