Devine Police Report June 15-21


June 15
12:00 AM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of CR 773 in reference to a male subject under the bridge. Unable to locate.
3:40 PM – Found a black phone in front of the Catholic Church.
7:43 PM – Officers dispatched in reference to a male subject in the area checking doors. Unable to locate.
11:10 PM – Complainant reported a male subject and a female subject walking near the train tracks in the 900 block of N. Transportation Dr. Unable to locate.
June 16
4:20 AM – Officer dispatched for a one-vehicle rollover accident on NB IH-35 near mile marker 122. The driver and passenger were found to be intoxicated. Charges pending.
7:40 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Oak Hill Dr. reported a male subject on location was causing a disturbance with cashier. Subject left prior to officers’ arrival.
6:30 PM – Officer dispatched in reference to a blue Tundra speeding and all over the road. No infractions observed in city limits.
8:06 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of N. Transportation Dr. The female driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests, and was jailed.
9:42 PM – Complainant reported a stalled charter bus on IH-35. The bus was later moved.
June 17
1:12 AM – Officer dispatched to SB IH-35 in reference to a vehicle all over the roadway. The driver was fatigued; switched drivers. All was okay.
11:13 AM – Officers assisted EMS on CR 761 with a seven-year-old female who was kicked in the head by a horse. Officers escorted EMS to station and assisted with a landing zone for Airlife. The subject was flown to University Hospital.
3:34 PM – Officer dispatched to SB IH-35 in reference to a white SUV speeding and driving recklessly. Unable to locate.
8:35 PM – Officer dispatched to the 900 block of N. Transportation Dr. in reference to a male near the tracks. The subject was in mourning of a family member.
June 18
1:05 AM – Complainant advised of an unoccupied blue Nissan Altima in the middle of the roadway on Rosewood. Unable to locate.
1:45 AM – Complainant on Blackjack Ln. received a call from Frio Co. in reference to an open line on 911 and sounds like it is about to be physical. A male subject was given a courtesy ride to the 600 block of W. Moore Ave.
5:20 AM – Officer assisted Medina County deputies with a loose cow in the 1000 block of CR 5710. The cow was returned to owner’s property.
9:00 AM – A large hay bale fell off the truck and onto the roadway on Windy Knoll Dr.
11:32 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of Rossville heard three rifle shots and two gun shots, possibly coming from the Breeze Dr. area. Unable to locate.
4:00 PM – Report of a grass fire near Chacon Creek. Officer made contact and advised controlled burn.
6:50 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to a suspicious person. Officer gave a male subject a courtesy ride to Moore.
7:25 PM – Report of a motorcycle on the runway at the Devine Municipal Airport. Officer made location; unable to locate.
9:38 PM – SAPD asked officers to locate a stolen vehicle out of their agency that was possibly in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. Unable to locate. A group of juveniles were found to be in a stolen vehicle from San Antonio. Charges pending.
June 19
12:00 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of S. Bright Dr. A female subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
6:33 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Allman Dr. reported a Hispanic male subject with brown shorts and a backwards baseball hat was walking in the area. Complainant has seen the subject walking into brush on various occasions.
8:26 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Commercial reported a lost phone.
June 20
8:21 AM – Complainant on CR 5710 reported a gold Mercedes with two males and one female driving, then the female driving without the males. Unable to locate.
3:46 PM – Officer assisted with a task force looking for a male subject on indictment warrant. The subject was a sex offender who failed to register. The subject was arrested and jailed.
3:50 PM – Complainant on Hwy. 173 S. advised a black truck pulling a black trailer was driving all over the roadway at a high rate of speed. Unable to locate.
June 21
12:07 AM – Officers assisted DPS with a major accident on FM 3176.
8:41 AM – Complainant in the 900 block of S. Transportation Dr. advised someone took a registration sticker off a fleet vehicle.
