Coach Terri Wells retires after 37 years

Coach Terri Wells retired after 37 years.

On behalf of Devine ISD we want thank you and your family for your 37 years of commitment, and unwavering dedication. For showing the true meaning of a caring coach on and off the court, you are the pinnacle of leadership and a true role model for excellence. Beyond your winning records, successes, and State Championships, you never failed to give it your all even when obligations to family arose; your commitment to Devine and Arabian athletics always took precedence over anything else. Coach Wells, your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed, and you have served such an example of selflessness and passion, an example carried on by so many past and present Arabians and Warhorses. For your unfaltering commitment and love for Devine we all thank you. A coach is someone who gets you to do what you don’t want to do so you can be who you want to be, thank you for being exactly that, to so many. We hope that you enjoy your retirement – much needed and well deserved time with your family. The time has finally come where you can put down your whistle and pick up your feet!! We love you and we will miss you, be careful traveling the world!
