The 1st Annual Lone Ranger Scramble Shootout held Saturday, July 22 sponsored by Endurance Lift Solutions was a huge success for the Devine Golf Course. There were a total of 13 teams that enjoyed great sausages, amazing rib-eye tacos, beer, water, Gatorade, great golf and fun.
The winners shot -14 under and -21.5 under with their handicap index winning $800 being Lyndell Neuman, Bill Sinclair, Gary Shuler, and Bill Eckert with three other teams tying for 2nd at -15 with their handicap index splitting the 2nd and 3rd place money each taking home $200 per team.
The Devine Golf Course generated significant funds with the help of Endurance Lift Solutions and the participants. Cameron Scitern, Devine Golf Course, and Endurance Lift Solutions look to turn this tournament into one of the best tournaments around the surrounding area. The funds generated will go toward necessary things for a golf course to start turning itself back around.
Scitern stated, “We have to do this as a community to make this a great atmosphere for everyone. Devine is a great city with many things to offer, we just have to tap into those things that we can offer as an extremely good product, and it’s more than possible with dedication and hard work from everyone.”
