The City of Natalia hereby gives notice that Ordinance No. 20-1221-1, a curfew for minors between the ages of 9 and 17, was passed by the City Council on 12.21.2020.
With limited exceptions, it is a Class C Misdemeanor for a minor to be out between the hours of 11:00 p.m. on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday until one-half hour before sunrise of the following day; between twelve o’clock at night (midnight) and one-half hour before sunrise on Saturday and Sunday; and during school hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday – Friday, excluding school holidays or when school is not in session.
Any minor violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor or as defined by the Texas Penal Code and shall be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of Title 3 of the Texas Family Code.
A parent of minor violating this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, which shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00. For more information, please visit http://cityofnatalia.com or contact City Hall at 830-663-2926.
