Warhorse XC ready for District meet

The Devine Warhorse Cross Country runners are ready for district competition today in Crystal City. Close results are expectedas several runners from each of the schools have similar times going into the meet.
In Bandera, Xavier Garza led the Warhorses finishing 14th with a time of 18:13. Weston Byrd (23rd-18:48), Zackariuh Bocanegra (32nd-19:19), Christian Osorio (38th-19:26), Ismael Vera (40th-19:37), and Chris Ortiz (53rd-20:00) rounded out the scoring for Devine. Marcus Espinosa injured his ankle during the race and was unable to finish.

The district meet in Crystal City is Wednesday, October 10. The top 3 teams and top 10 individuals are competing for the chance to run in Corpus Christi at Regional on October 22. The Horses are scheduled to run Wednesday, October 10 at 10:00am Crystal City Municipal Airport located just to the north of Javelina Stadium.
