Pirates face off against Indians

The Lytle Pirates faced off against Jourdanton in game five of district play. The Pirates will take on the Cotulla Cowboys in Lytle’s Homecoming game this Friday.
“Offensive standouts include Junior RB/LB Deven Caldera, who rushed for 90 yards on 36 carries against Jourdanton. Junior Connor Martin saw significant time at QB and played well, completing passes to Sophomore receivers Rudy Cepeda and Amadeus Trejo-Perez,” said Coach Trevino.
“Defensively, Junior DB/RB Albert Aguilar continues to impress, leading the team in tackles with 13 (8 solo, 5 assists). Junior LB/RB Emanuel Garcia (6 solo, 3 assists) and Sophomore DL/OL Mario Diaz (3 solo, 4 assists, 1 TFL, 1 Sack) also responded with their best defensive performances of the season.”

The final score was Lytle 0, Jourdanton 45. However the Pirates are ready to make a comeback this week, so let’s pack the stands Pirates.

This will also be the final game, in the Black and Gold, for Seniors Kasen Boyd, Josh Del Toro, Cort Haltom, Daniel Aguirre, Elijiah Ramirez, Diego Rangel, Emanuel Garcia, Elias Hernandez, Jason Vega, Ivan Reyna and Cecil Olivarri.
Kickoff on Friday is set for 7:30pm, here in Lytle.
