Natalia Police Report Feb. 12-18

Feb. 12
4:49 PM – Officer received several calls of a black pit bull mix that had been seen roaming the area of Miller St. and 3rd St. with no tags and malnourished. The officer was unable to catch the dog.
Feb. 13
11:50 AM – Officer was called to the Natalia Junior High about a simple assault that occurred with one student assaulting another student. Officer issued a citation to one of the juveniles and later cleared the scene.
Feb. 14
2:58 PM – Officer was waved down by a passerby and advised the officer of two dogs running around loose with no tags. Officer has set out traps in attempt to capture the stray dogs.
9:47 PM – Officer received a call from a complainant about someone opening her front door. Officer made contact with the person and she advised someone opened the front door and her dogs started barking, making the person flee the area. Nothing was taken from the residence. Officer later cleared the scene without incident.
10:54 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General about an alarm call. Officer arrived on scene and checked the building. No one was present in the store and all doors and windows were intact.
Feb. 15
1:06 PM – Officer responded to the 700 block of 4th St. about an individual trespassing. Officer issued a criminal trespass to the unwanted subject and was asked to leave the property and not return.
6:15 PM – Officer responded to the 2100 block of Hwy. 132 about suspicious activity around a residence. Officer drove around the residence and was unable to locate anyone. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to Love’s Truck Stop about two commercial vehicles colliding with each other in the back parking lot. Officer spoke to both parties and later issued blue forms to the drivers and explained the forms in their entirety. Officer later cleared the scene and went back in service.
Feb. 17
1:40 PM – Officer responded to the 500 block of 5th St. about an elderly man with chest pains. Officer arrived on scene and waiting for EMS to arrive. EMS arrived on scene and evaluated the elderly man. Officer later cleared the scene and went back in service.
8:49 PM – Officer responded to St. John Bosco Hall about some children who accidentally broke a window to the dance hall. The children’s parents were notified of the incident and a report was generated.
10:04 PM – Officer responded to IH-35 N. about a commercial vehicle broken down in the roadway. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle and cleared the scene.
Feb. 18
8:08 PM – Officer responded to Love’s Truck Stop, where a commercial truck backed into a parked commercial truck. Officer contacted both parties and issued and explained forms. Officer gathered information and cleared the scene.
