Lytle Police Report Jan. 7-13


Jan. 7
4:30 AM – Officer initiated a field contact on a male walking on 18000 Blk. of IH 35 N Access Rd. Officer provided the male a courtesy ride to IH 35 N Access Rd. at Shepherd Rd.
9:05 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. to unlock a vehicle.
11:18 PM – Officers responded to Wisdom Rd. at Lake St. for a report of illegal dumping. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
6:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit and run.
7:22 PM – Officers responded to CVS Pharmacy for a report of two suspicious people trying to get syringes but were denied and became uneasy. Management wanted police visible while they got into their vehicles as the store closed.
9:03 PM – Officers responded to Dollar General for a report of two suspicious females walking the store. Officers walked the premises and spoke with management. Everything was in order.
Jan. 8
8:08 AM – Officer responded to IH35 N for a report of a reckless driver towing a trailer and running vehicles off the road. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:08 AM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of main St. to unlock a vehicle.
12:09 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a man causing a disturbance and possibly trying to steal merchandise. Officers located the subject at Whataburger and discussed the situation. Subject agreed to leave and was released to his aunt.
4:15 PM – Lytle Public Works Director stopped by the Police Station and reported damage to city property. Two gas risers had been run over in the Park Place Subdivision on Kensington Ct. CPS Energy was notified and the damage was repaired. Wednesday
Jan. 9
2:10 AM –Officers made contact with a male subject at HEB Plus P-Lot. The male was zip tying his front bumper, all was okay.
8:16 AM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of Lake Breeze Dr. for a report of a man looking into the window of his neighbor’s car. Officer searched the area, unable to locate anyone.
12:40 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported that her clarinet mouthpiece was stolen a month prior from the instrument room at the Lytle High School but was subsequently returned by the thief the next day.
4:05 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a man causing a disturbance behind the Head to Toe Beauty Salon. Officer spoke to a man who stated he was hitting practice golf balls and some were striking the building. Officer also spoke with employees at a shop who also stated the subject was dumping garbage on the area across from his residence. Subject agreed to not dump any garbage and stop hitting golf balls onto the building.
6:13 PM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of N Prairie St. for a report of a welfare check on a possibly suicidal female who was located at the Baptist Church. Officer spoke with the female who stated she did not wish to harm herself further and wanted EMS to take her to a hospital for assistance. The female was transported to Southwest General hospital by EMS.
Jan. 10
6:47 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Laredo St. for a report of a dog running at large. Officer spoke with the dog owner who stated he would bring his dog home.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real for a report of an alarm.
Jan. 11
8:30 AM – Officers assisted the public with fingerprinting for employment purposes.
9:40 AM – Officers provided funeral escort through Main St.
3:38 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. to assist the public with a jump start. Officers were cancelled upon arrival.
5:28 PM – Officers responded to 14700 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
Jan. 12
12:01 AM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:23 AM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a vehicle illegally parked in a handicap parking stall. Officers made contact with the vehicle owner and advised them to move the vehicle.
4:11 PM – Officers responded to Circle K. Upon arrival, officer found that unknown suspect(s) tried to gain entry into the building’s office via the back wall. Unknown suspects failed to make entry.
4:11 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Community Center for a report of a truck doing donuts in the parking lot. Officers located the truck at the Auto Sales lot and spoke with staff who stated it was an unknown individual who test drove the pickup. Officers were unable to locate the driver.
6:26 PM – Officers responded to Little Caesars for a report of a minor accident.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of complainant hearting knocking on her door and no one outside. Complainant requested extra patrol.
10:30 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Houston St. for a report of a 911 hang-up call. Officer made contact with the homeowner and was advised everything was okay.
Jan. 13
4:00 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB to assist Atascosa Co. with locating a vehicle that had eluded the Border Patrol. Officer was unable to locate vehicle.
8:43 AM – Officers observed an open fire at 18700 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. Officers made contact with resident who agreed to extinguish the fire.
12:50 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a lost cell phone. Complainant had left the phone in the bathroom and when he returned it was gone. GPS location showed on Wheeler Rd. at Bexar Co. Complaint drove to the last known GPS location and retrieved his phone.
12:59 PM – Offices responded to Whataburger to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
8:30 PM – Officers responded to Lytle High School for a report of a suspicious Toyota Corolla in the parking lot. Officers made contact with an 18 YO male and a 17 YO female. The 17 YO female was released to a family member.
10:00 PM – Officers noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road at IH 35 S Frontage Rd. with the hazard lights on. Officer made contact with a driver who stated he just got off the road to make a phone call.
11:00 PM – Officers responded to O-Reilly’s for a report of a suspicious truck in the parking lot. Officers made contact with the driver who stated he was just taking a picture of his truck.
