JV Arabians fall to Bulldogs

The Junior Varsity Arabians had a tough game last Tuesday against the Bandera Bulldogs. It was a tight two matches with final scores of 22-25 and 17-25 with strong rallying in the first match. This loss brings the JV record to 2-2 for the season and with five games and two tournaments, the Arabians have time to work on the fundamentals before district starts.
“We started this game way too slow and put us behind from the get go. The girls did better and rallied in the first set but it was too late. The second set we lost our composure and struggled with executing fundamentals. The girls will continue to work hard to prepare for Wimberley this upcoming Tuesday.”- Coach Megan Perez
Brooke DuBose, Leah Herrera, and Destiny Moralez each had an ace. Kenzie Schneider had 2 kills, Halle Hagdorn 3, Allyson Taylor 1, DuBose 1, Isellia Gutierrez 1, and Kennedy Duncan 2 kills. Sydnie Harrel had 2 blocks and Gutierrez had 1. Up next for the JV Arabians is Marion on August 31st at home and then La Vernia away on September 4th.
