Devine Police Report April 22-27

April 22
12:08 AM – Officer assisted DPS trooper with a DWI in the 1200 block of CR 5710.
1:37 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of E. Hondo Ave. An open container of alcohol was located in the vehicle. The driver was cited and released.
2:23 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 400 block of E. Hondo Ave. Driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
8:55 PM – Complainant reported the low water crossing barricade was extended out into the roadway on Colonial Parkway. Officer secured the arm with a lock.
10:30 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 400 block of N. Teel Dr. Driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
10:45 PM – Citizen reported a young male driving a Ford truck peeled out of the Walmart parking lot. Officer made location and spoke to the citizen and the male driver.
April 23
9:00 AM – Officer assisted EMS with a combative patient at Heritage Residential Care Center. All was okay.
6:08 PM – Officer was advised of two young males shooting several birds with a BB gun in the 800 block of Zig Zag Ave. The kids were shooting cans, and the parents were outside and advised of the City Ordinance.
7:49 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Hwy. 132 N. Driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
8:15 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Hwy. 132 N. Driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited. Subject was also found to be in possession of synthetic urine, which is commonly used to falsify drug tests. The subject was jailed.
11:00 PM – Eddie Hutzler found a key with a keychain in the door lock of a local business. Officer contacted the business owner, who stated she or her daughter would be by to pick it up in the morning.
April 24
10:24 AM – Complainant spoke to officer in reference to unauthorized charges totaling $575.92 by person(s) unknown.
12:08 PM – Complainant spoke to officer in reference to her husband’s bank card, which had been missing and possibly stolen. Card has been used twice at an ATM.
1:02 PM – Complainant in the 1200 block of W. Hondo Ave. spoke to officers in reference to students walking out in front of traffic during lunch hour. The complainant was afraid someone was going to get hurt.
8:07 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of King Ave. reported that one orange BMX bike and one blue BMX bike had been stolen by person(s) unknown.
April 26
12:56 PM – A Texas driver’s license was found at Star Laundry and returned to owner.
3:28 PM – Complainant spoke to officer in reference to unauthorized charges to a bank debit card (joint account).
11:36 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 900 block of N. Teel Dr. Driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
April 27
5:23 PM – Complainant reported a red and white international truck trailer driving recklessly on NB IH-35 near MM 122. Officer was unable to locate.
