The Laredo Trail Ride Queen is 18-year-old Kylee Mike, of Bigfoot. The warm up ride is set for this January 20th and the big Laredo Trailride will be February 3-9th.

January 14 – The Electric Reliability Council of Texas issued a conservation appeal for Monday, January 15 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Interim Public Works Director Robert Hernandez updated the Lytle City Council Monday on the status of city water well number two, the subject of a surprise inspection by state officials in December.
Repeated flushing has reduced the amount of oily water produced by the well, Hernandez said.

Cheyenne McKinney (5 years old of Devine) won Peewee Shomanship at the FFA Prospect show with her hamp, Daisy this December, and she looks plenty happy about it! The Medina County Jr Livestock Show is coming up on Saturday, January 27 from 10-2 (silent auction of showcase projects) and the Premium Sale at 11am. There will also be a Yearling Colt Sale Jan 26th at 8am, and Commerical Heifer Sale January 26th at 5pm. Look for more info in the coming weeks.

Drop off lines at Devine Middle School may be a little bit slow as residents who live on FM 2200 adjust to taking some major detours this January.
Beginning on Tuesday, January 2nd, at 7 a.m on FM 2200, there will be a Full Closure for the second phase of the Bridge Replacement at Francisco Perez Creek. The bridge which is located just before Devine Acres Farm will be closed to all traffic for 6 months (according to schedule).
