Arabians beat Cole in straight sets

The Arabians ended their pre-season games with a huge win over Cole on September 18th. The win in three sets had some impressive teamwork and great plays. Winning their first set 25-20, the Arabians kept the pressure up and worked harder in the second to win 25-13. The Panthers made the Arabians work for every point in the third set but they still lost to the Arabians 25-20.
“Even though we walked away with a win, we did not play our best. But this was a good preview as to what district is going to be like and allow us to adjust to the change of pace,” said Coach Leigh Anne McIver.
Along with her 15 assists, Macey Hein led with 4 aces. Others with aces were Alissa Stehle 3, Gabby Rodriguez 2, Sierra Pompa and Kaylee Howard with 1 each. Pompa had 14 kills, Stehle 4, Megan Runyan and Hein with 3 each, Madison Pike 1 kill. Stehle 3 assists and Rodriguez 1 assist. Dana Aaron and Pike each had a block. Stehle led with 15 digs, assisted by Sara Moreno and Rodriguez with 11 each, Pompa 10, Hein 7, Aaron 3, Runyan 2, Howard and Pike with 1 dig each.
