Twelve Arabians competed in various weight divisions and Devine came in 5th place overall as a team.
“I am extremely proud of the way the girls competed this past Thursday at Texas Strength Systems Meet,” stated Head Powerlifting Coach Paul Gomez. “It was definitely competitive with some really strong girls from around the area. Jessie Ramirez had a good first meet and placed 2nd in her weight division. Felicity Diaz also had an impressive meet placing second, as did Khali Key who placed third. All three girls received medals. I am excited for our first-time powerlifters. They did well for their first competition and showed promise for the future. They did a great job of competing and were not intimidated. I look for good things from this group in the future.”
