The 8th Grade Gold Fillys have ended their season by beating Carrizo Springs in two sets. Serving was the key role to the win with Amayia Macias serving 13 points with 2 aces and Rebecca Mares serving 11 points with 2 aces. The sets ended 23-13 and 24-20 against a running clock. “This group of girls has really come a long way. I am very pleased with all of their progress and their success. They were a great group to work with.” Coach Julie Oropeza
The Gold Fillys were 6-3-2 overall and 4-3-2 in district. They have started basketball practice this last week and their first game is in Poteet Monday, November 5th.
