Around 3 am this past Friday, April 5, the Devine Fire Department was toned out for this single vehicle rollover near the intersection of Hwy 173 and CR 7711 right outside Devine. Significant damage to the vehicle is visible, with a crushed windshield, and the front end skinned off in the accident. But rescue crews quickly realized there was no driver or passenger to be found at the scene.
“Upon arrival, there was no patient around, and the gentleman who is believed to be the driver was located walking toward Natalia,” according to sources, “It appeared that the driver crawled out through the backseat as the front door was jammed shut. He walked about seven miles and was almost home by the time he was located.”
