Warhorses beat Crystal City in overtime

In their first district game the Warhorses beat Crystal City 57-52 in overtime. The Warhorses “fought hard and persevered through lots of adversity. Very difficult place to win,” said Coach PJ Wells.
It was a close back and forth game the whole time. Tied at 9 at the end of the first, the Warhorses led 25-20 at the half. The Warhorses kept their led at the end of the third at 38-32 but the game was tied at 43 when the buzzer sounded at the end of the game.
The Warhorses fought even harder in overtime and won 57-52. Conner Schmidt led with 21 points. Daniel Ramirez and Cash Walker each scored 12 points, Leonard Pompa 6 points and Brady Cardenas had 3 points.
