Vehicle crunches guardrail, strikes another vehicle

On Saturday, July 14 around 3 am, a driver was traveling north on I-35 when he lost control on the overpass.
“The red car struck the guardrail, crunching 25-30 feet of the guardrail before colliding with a passing car which was hit on the driver’s side,” said Devine Fire Chief Mike Walker. “He’s lucky he didn’t go off the overpass or he would’ve ended up on the railroad tracks below.”
It happened at MM 122 where IH-35 crosses over Hwy 132 out toward Moore.
One passenger from the other vehicle was transferred for medical attention, and the driver of the first vehicle was charged with DWI and transported to jail.
