I had the pleasure of introducing the 2nd Annual Lewis Stroud Award. As many of you know, Lewis helped start this chapter 52 years ago with a membership size of around 15 officials. Because of his leadership and vision, today that membership is close to 400.
What a blessing to announce the second recipient of this award, J.J. Suarez. J.J. has been a longtime member and I am blessed to call him a friend. He exemplifies what officiating is all about.
Lewis has officiated for 52 years and has called nine Regional tournaments and three State tournaments.
