Public Town Hall meeting Thursday, April 4 about $13.9 million Devine ISD bond

An informational meeting about the Bond Election will be hosted by DISD on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the DSAC for constituents and stakeholders of Devine ISD.
An overview of the facilities improvement plan will be discussed. As well as an explanation of the bond proposition and the possible effects on the district and the community.
Public is invited and encouraged to get fully informed.
This will be the first of several meetings.

Breakdown of projected Devine ISD school bond costs
If your home is appraised at $150,000, taxes are projected to increase by $102.00 in 2020 and a cumulative increase of $202.00 in 2021 and so forth until the bond is paid in full. The chart shows the tax impact of the proposed $13.9 million Devine ISD bond. The chart shows examples of of the tax rate increase during the first three years of the bond. This chart shows only the I&S tax rate. Total taxes owed is a combination of adding the I&S tax rate and the M&O tax, which is not shown here. The maximum length of a bond is 40 years.
