JV2 Warhorses beat Seguin

In their third game of the season, the JV2 Warhorses beat Seguin 3-2 for their first win of the season. With Kannon Ramirez and Joey Blanquiz on the mound, the Warhorses only allowed five hits.
Devine’s first run came in the bottom of the first when Brady Hackebeil stole home. Bottom of the third Xsavior Contreras singled on a bunt, Gus Puente struck out, Brady Hackebeil single to right, and Sage Cruz walked to load the bases. Ramirez walked and forced Contreras home. Carlos Gutierrez stuck out and with Blanquiz at bat, Hackebeil stole home again for Devine’s third and final run. Seguin would score two runs in the top of the sixth but it was not enough to come back and Devine won 3-2.
Hackebeil 2 runs, 1 hit. Ramirez 1 RBI. Carlos Gutierrez 1 hit. Contreras 1 run, 1 hit. Ramirez 40 strikes in 65 pitches and Blanquiz 15 strikes in 22 pitches.
The JV2 Warhorses will play in McCollum on Thursday, at home against McCollum on April 13th, in Harper on April 15th, and at Medina Valley on April 22nd.
