Natalia Police Report May 20-27


May 20

4:45 PM – Officer responded to the 200 block of 9th St. about a verbal disturbance between two brothers. Officer arrived on scene and one of the brothers had already left. Officer gathered the information and cleared the scene without further incident.
6:48 PM – Officer responded to a disturbance reported at the 600 block of CR 6612. Officer arrived in the area and was unable to locate any disturbance.
9:45 PM – Officer responded to the area of 4th St. and Palfrey St. about a female screaming while inside of a white truck. Officer later found out the white Chevrolet was on its way to Devine and was being followed. Officer later saw the white Chevrolet, who was later reported to be in a hit and run with the vehicle following it. Officer gave chase to the pickup and later determined the truck was stolen out of Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office.
May 21
12:55 AM – Officer responded to the 700 block of Palfrey St. for a possible disturbance. Officer arrived on location and later determined that there was no disturbance, but only the same homeowner banging around in the bathroom and had fallen down. Officer checked on the complainant and he was okay and didn’t need medical attention.
8:55 AM – Officer responded to IH-35 and Hwy. 173 to assist a trooper who was requesting immediate assistance. Officer arrived on scene and the officer was advised the driver and front passenger jumped out of the truck and started running away from the scene. Trooper later investigated the traffic stop and discovered multiple illegal aliens were in the back of the trailer being brought into the US illegally. US Border Patrol was called and took custody of the subjects.
9:03 AM – Officer spoke to a complainant who stated she was having an issue with her 16-year-old girlfriend’s parents and needed some advice as to what she needed to do. After the officer spoke to the complainant, it was later determined it was not a criminal matter, but a civil issue.
10:00 PM – Officer responded to assist a trooper at IH-35 and mile marker 127. Officer stood by while the trooper placed the driver under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Officer later cleared the scene without incident.
May 22
1:50 PM – Officer responded to Devine to assist the PD on an active disturbance call. Officer arrived on scene and provided cover. The officer later cleared the scene without incident.
May 23
7:46 PM – Officer was approached by a bystander and advised the officer had found an iPhone on the street on CR 463 and CR 6610. The phone was locked and unable to see who it may have belonged to. Officer placed the phone in the evidence room for safekeeping.
May 24
7:49 AM – Officer responded to the 400 block of 5th St. about a snake curled up by the resident’s refrigerator. Officer went over and captured the snake and later disposed of the snake back into the wild.
9:20 PM – Officer responded to the 700 block of Palfrey St. for an unresponsive male subject. Officer arrived on scene, went inside the residence, and found the male subject in the bathroom on the floor, moaning and groaning. Officer called EMS to his location to assess the patient. Officer assisted in getting the patient on the stretcher and into the ambulance. The patient was transported to an area San Antonio hospital.
May 25
1:48 PM – Officer observed a man and woman soliciting feminine hygiene products to the restaurant manager and employees. Officer approached the two and asked if they had valid permits to solicit in the City of Natalia. The female got irate and stated she wasn’t going to buy a permit and told the officer she would leave. Nothing further occurred and the two left willingly.
May 26
5:15 PM – Officer responded to the 400 block of Bartlett St. about a female trespassing. Officer arrived and made contact with the property owner and suspect. The suspect was given a criminal trespass warning for that property and was issued a copy for her records. No further action was taken.
May 27
10:30 PM – Officer responded to the southbound roadside park about a disturbance in a gray Dodge pickup. Officer arrived at the park and recreation center and was unable to locate the truck in question. Officer cleared the area and went back in service.
