Lytle Police Report March 19-25


March 19

5:30 AM – Officer responded to Bank St. at Adams St. for a report of a suspicious white truck. Officer arrived shortly after but was unable to locate vehicle.
9:20 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to his mail being mailed to the wrong post office box. He is currently working with the Post Office to fix the problem. Officer will proceed with more information and a report if needed.
10:45 AM – Officer was contacted by the owner of a trailer that had been reported stolen. The owner stated he had found the trailer at a truck stop in Elmendorf and brought it back to his residence. Officer contacted the dispatch to have the trailer removed from TCIC as stolen.
10:50 AM – Officer responded to the 18900 Blk. of N. Prairie St. to unlock a vehicle.
1:20 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Mile Marker 131 to assist a disabled motorist.
5:25 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a bat flying around the store. Officer was unable to locate.
5:45 PM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a report of a verbal disturbance between a customer and manager. The argument was all verbal, customer agreed to depart from scene.
6:30 PM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to her ex grabbing her property and throwing them across the parking lot at Family Dollar. The incident occurred the day before the report. No damage was done to her property but a report was made due to his aggressive behavior.
9:00 PM – Complainant reported a lost wallet. Complainant was not sure where the wallet was lost but believes it was at the Chevron in Lytle.
9:56 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
March 20
3:33 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Jr. High for a report of a fire alarm. Officer found no evidence of fire/smoke.
5:56 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. to assist a stranded motorist with a jump start.
8:15 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
9:00 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
11:10 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School to unlock a vehicle.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to Subway for a two vehicle crash.
5:16 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of two male juveniles fighting. Officer located one of the male juveniles and contacted his parents to pick up the juvenile.
9:45 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of shoplifters. Officers arrived and noted no offense had occurred.
March 21
7:40 AM – Officer responded to Community National Bank for a report of an alarm. Officers spoke with employee who stated he had accidentally set off the alarm.
10:43 AM – Officers responded to 15400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officers discovered two workers on the property who were working on the garage.
11:36 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of 2 dogs left inside a vehicle. Officer arrived and spoke with the dog owner, all was fine.
6:42 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
7:10 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a male asking customers for either money or for them to buy him beer. Officers made contact with the male who stated he didn’t have an ID. Subject was identified and he went on his way.
10:20 PM – Officers responded to Blume Dr. and assisted Atascosa EMS with a young male with a fallen injury.
March 22
1:58 AM – Officers responded to Bruce St. for a welfare concern on complainant’s brother.
2:55 AM – Officer responded to Chevron for a report of an alarm. All was normal.
12:20 PM – Officer responded to Lytle High School to assist Atascosa EMS.
3:24 PM – Officer responded to 200 Blk. of Border Brook Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a disturbance.
4:45 PM – Officer responded to 18300 Blk. of FM 2790 S for a report of an ID theft.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of complainant having a discipline issue with his 15 Y/O son.
March 23
9:25 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported an incident that had occurred involving a child. The incident is believed to be accidental in nature and there are no signs of criminal activity.
10:00 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and turned in found property.
11:25 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Primary School to unlock a vehicle.
11:55 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a report of a fire alarm.
1:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
2:00 PM – Officers provided funeral escort for Hurley Funeral Home in Devine to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
2:50 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Exit 131 Access Rd. to assist a disabled motorist.
6:04 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park Pavilion for a report of juvenile(s) smoking under the pavilion. Officer conducted a field contact with a group of juveniles who denied they were smoking.
11:15 PM – Warrant Service Officer responded to HEB C-Store and made contact with complainant who stated her sister had taken her mother’s debit card without permission. Officer was assisted by Atascosa Co. Deputy who made contact with suspect. Upon contact, it was learned that suspect’s husband had an outstanding Atascosa Co. Warrant for his arrest. He was then placed under arrest by Atascosa Deputy and transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
March 24
10:53 AM – Officers responded to Somerset St. at Laredo St. for a report of a one vehicle crash. The driver of vehicle struck the stop sign causing damage to the post. Stop sign was still in position to be effectively seen by approaching drivers.
11:42 AM – Officer responded to 18500 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a disturbance between two neighbors over a civil matter.
2:40 PM – Officer responded to Prevailing Word Church to unlock a vehicle.
6:55 PM – Officer responded to 18500 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a neighbor dispute.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of two male subjects who entered the store, picked up two cases of beer and exited the store without paying. Total estimated loss $29.98.
March 25
6:04 AM – Officer responded to 18100 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a woman banging on the back window glass and shinning a flashlight into a bedroom.
6:55 AM – Officer made contact with a 19 Y/O male riding a bike without a front headlight wearing a stuffed backpack at the HEB Plus. Officer identified the male who stated he had just completed his overnight shift at Whataburger and was riding home. Subject voluntarily showed the officer the contents of his backpack which consisted of his work clothing.
10:02 AM – Officer responded to 20400 Blk. of FM 3175 for a report of shots fired. Officer spoke with complainant and explained that the shots were coming from an officer practicing at the city range.
10:05 AM – Officer responded to Rodeo St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
1:34 PM – Officer responded to Lytle-Somerset St. at Bruce St. to assist a stranded motorist by pushing his truck off of the roadway where it was blocking the intersection.
3:03 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. to unlock a vehicle.
8:30 PM – Officer responded to Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of vehicles speeding in the area.
10:20 PM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of an alarm.
