Lytle Police Report July 29-August 4

July 29
7:25 AM – Officer was flagged down at the US Post Office and talked to officer in reference to an incident that occurred on 7/28/19.
8:42 AM – Officer was flagged down by a citizen and talked to officer in reference to a speeding vehicle on Juarez St.
9:45 AM – Officers responded to Hurley’s Funeral Home and provided funeral escort to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
1:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store and talked to complainant in reference to missing money. It was later discovered that he had left the envelope at the bank.
1:43 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a known shoplifter at the store. The female was identified and issued a Criminal Trespass Notice for HEB Plus and HEB C-Store.
2:05 PM – Officer responded to N. Somerset St. at Adams St. for a report of a roadway obstruction. Upon arrival, it was discovered the 18 wheeler was lost looking for Old Frio City Rd. Officers provided the driver with directions.
2:07 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of a 3 vehicle crash.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of an unruly 13 YO juvenile. Upon arrival, officer spoke with the juvenile and he agreed to settle down.
3:50 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a vehicle accident that occurred on 7/29/19.
4:15 PM – Officer responded to Park Place Subdivision for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. Upon arrival, officer made contact with the driver and identified him. The subject had followed a vehicle into the gated area and was soliciting. Officer advised the male subject of needing a permit to sell in the city.
6:40 PM – Officer was flagged down by a passing motorist and talked to officer in reference to a missing German Shepherd. Lytle Animal Control was notified.
July 30
1:30 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a report of an active fire alarm. Officer arrived, all was okay.
4:14 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a report of an active fire alarm. Officer arrived, all was okay.
11:07 AM – Officer responded to Target Solutions for a report of an unknown male subject that knocked the cameras off the building. The incident occurred on 7/21/19.
8:35 PM – Officer responded to Lake Shore Subdivision for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of N. Pecan St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient. The patient refused transport.
9:24 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
July 31
2:56 AM – Officer received a phone call from San Antonio PD in reference to the stolen 2017 Ford F250. The vehicle was recovered in San Antonio heavily damaged.
9:30 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a smoke plume rising in the air just south of the location. Officer located the source of fire; Lytle Public Works was doing a controlled burn.
10:35 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of an elderly female who came into the store and began screaming and cursing at the employees in regards to the coffee. The manager asked for a Criminal Trespass Warning to be issued. Officer made contact with the female and advised her not to return to HEB property.
4:14 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Oil Exchange to unlock a vehicle.
5:24 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S just outside city limits for a report of an accident. Officer waited on scene until DPS arrived.
9:26 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Prairie St. to unlock a vehicle.
August 1
12:14 AM – Officers responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a welfare check.
2:52 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:30 AM – While on patrol at Wisdom Rd. and Ball Rd. officer found an injured Whitetail fawn apparently dead in the street causing a traffic hazard. While attempting to move the fawn, it regained consciousness and limped off into the brush.
7:53 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Gate St. for a welfare check on complainant’s daughter. Officer arrived and spoke with subject who stated all was fine.
11:10 AM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of N. Benton St. to unlock a vehicle.
12:12 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Oil Exchange to assist Atascosa EMS with a female patient that had passed out while exiting and causing damage to her vehicle and the building. The female was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
3:25 PM – While patrolling at HEB Plus, officer was flagged down by the HEB manager who was speaking to 3 people who said had been involved in an accident. Officer spoke with the group who stated they would handle the damage between themselves.
5:10 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported his 2019 F250 had been damaged while parked at the HEB Plus. Unknown person(s) had attempted to force the driver’s side door lock key hole and damaged the lock to the point that it no longer functions. No other damage and entry was not made.
6:16 PM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Car Wash for a report of a vehicle trespassing complainant’s property that had refused to leave when he asked the driver. Officer spoke to the driver and passenger and both agreed to leave the property.
6:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a man and a woman, who appeared to be on drugs, causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officer met with the manager who stated the man had shoved him when he approached the couple. Officer located the two subjects and released them when the manager decided not to prosecute for the assault.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to Bealls for a report of a bat inside the store. Officer was advised the bat was taken out prior to arrival.
10:30 PM – While patrolling Machinery Auctioneer officer noticed a cut fence. A walk through of the property was done.
10:45 PM – Officer responded to Bealls to assist a motorist with a jump start.
11:03 PM – Officer responded to 90 E. Robin Lynn in Somerset to assist Atascosa Co. with a suicidal male subject.
August 2
12:20 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Laredo St. for a report of a suspicious male driving around the park. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
1:20 AM – Officer responded to Lucky Rd. at Collins Hill Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a major accident. The vehicle departed prior to officer’s arrival.
9:52 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of several storage units that were broken into. Officers advised to contact each renter to file a report if they found something was stolen.
10:16 AM – Officer responded to 100 Blk. of Rock Dove Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a reported physical disturbance.
1:42 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported a theft of several items taken from her storage unit. Related to the criminal mischief from earlier at Lytle Mini Storage.
3:05 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officers in reference to several checks that were cashed. Complainant was referred to Castroville PD due to jurisdiction.
4:14 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 and assisted the Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with traffic control for a brush fire at the sewer plant.
8:27 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Community Services in reference to a male and a female patient verbal disturbance. The staff agreed to keep the male isolated until the mother arrived to pick him up.
August 3
4:30 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at Medina Co. Line to assist Medina Co. with a one vehicle rollover.
7:35 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. An unknown person(s) entered a 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 and stole several items. Total estimated loss $2,500.
8:15 PM – Officers responded to Dollar General for a report of an adult male in an older Dodge pickup using binoculars watching a mother and her daughter. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the male was waiting on 2 females inside the store and was using the binoculars to look around the area. He had purchased them the day prior and was attempting to learn how to use them. The 2 females verified his story.
10:17 PM – Officers responded to Bruce St. at Harbour St. for a report of a female screaming for help. Officers arrived and searched the area and were unable to locate anyone.
10:30 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus in reference to an attempt to pass a forged $20 bill.
August 4
12:06 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 S (1 mile east of city limits) for a report of a two vehicle crash.
11:48 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to complainant in reference to wanting assistance in locating his daughter whom he had been unable to make contact with and believed she was at the park in Lytle. The subject was located and dialed to call her father.
12:59 PM – Officer responded to Exxon for a report of a burglary to two storage units. Complainant is the property owner and he had hired some subject to do work on property 3 weeks prior. Complainant arrived today and found the units locking mechanisms cut and property missing.
2:04 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Office St. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
3:35 PM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at Granberg Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a two vehicle crash.
7:20 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of found property. Upon arrival, it was discovered a family at the park discovered a small baggie of narcotics. The baggie was returned to Lytle PD Station and placed in the evidence locker.
9:36 PM – Traffic stop at N. Prairie St. and Railroad St. resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old female subject for having an Outstanding Warrant out of Bexar Co. for the Original Charge of Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 < 1g. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
